Reviews Amager Faelled
Amager Faelled
Located in the northwestern corner of the island of Amager, just south of central Copenhagen, the natural reserve of Amager Faelled still reminds us of the old commons of yore (faelled meaning exactly commons) and has furthermore areas of scrub, reedbeds, boggy patches, meadows and a lake. Cattle is kept grazing in the meadows south of the lake as part of the area's management scheme, so that vegetation is kept short. Many different species of birds and other wildlife can be seen and heard as we walk through the four public paths available or using the small trails connecting the whole area.
