Created at the beginning of the 20th century on some of the old city commons, Faelledparken is not so much a botanical exhibition, but rather Copenhagen's recreational area. Here you can find greens, enclosed dog walking areas, an open air pool in the summer, a recently renewed skate park, children playgrounds and six football fields.
There is also pavillion working as a cafe in the summer and where you can also take salsa classes.
Of special interest is the Garden of Senses: it is a special play area designed in order to stimulate all of the kid's senses, particularly in the case of children with disabilities, for whom it is totally accessible.
