A beautiful trip over the century, discovering the city of the Kings: a Historical Tour around the Copenhagen of 1600-1800.
1600-1800: Scandinavia is at war. The cities are ravaged by deadly epidemics and fires. But Copenhagen becomes an important trade centre and the cultural life of the capital is inspired by France and Paris, and the monarchy projects large building of power.
The tour passes Copenhagen's best preserved renaissance house at Amagertorv. We walk by Gråbrødre Torv and Købmagergade.
We discover wonderful 17th century buildings like Regensen, Rundetårn and Rosenborg.
We walk along the cultural centre of Copenhagen until we arrive to Frederiksstaden. This magnificent quarter was built in the 1750's and named after Frederik V.
Tour finishes to Amalienborg, the royal palace and the heart of Frederik's town.
Every Saturday at 10 a.m. from March to 25 October.
