Randers Regnskov is an artificial rainforest. It is divided into three zones Asia, Africa and South America each exhibiting the flora and fauna typical to its region. Sankt Mortens Kir is an attractive brick church built in Gothic style.
Houmeden, which is Denmark’s first pedestrian-only street, is flanked by old timbered houses. Radhustorvet, the Town Hall Square, is located in the centre of the city. On one end, it has the oldest stone house in Randers, and on the other, Radhus—the impressive Town Hall.
Gammel Estrup is a Renaissance-styled manor house surrounded by a moat. The house is now a museum displaying the life and culture in manor houses.
A Festival of Kites is held in Randers in early August. This festival attracts enthusiasts from Scandinavia and Germany. Randers Week is 10-day music, art and theatre festival held in mid-August.
