Parnu’s biggest attraction is its long stretch of sandy beaches and the sunny weather. A visit to Parnu must entail a mud-bath at any of the numerous spas.
The Red Tower is the only remnant of the original fort and is Parnu’s oldest structure. Vallikaar is a section of the old moat which has been converted to an open-air stage for concerts and theatre in summer. The Tallinn Gate is reminiscent of the old wall of the town.
Rüütli Street, the main street, is flanked by some of the oldest and most beautiful buildings in Parnu. The most impressive is the Town Museum which portrays the town’s development through the years.
Built in the Baroque style, the Elizabeth Church is reputed to possess one of the best organs in the country.
Amende’s Villa is a unique structure built in the Art Nouveau style. In the past, it housed a casino, but has now been converted into a hotel and restaurant.
