The International airport Vantaa is the main international airport of the region, Helsinki and the whole of Finland. It is situated almost 5 kilometers from the center of Vantaa and 20 kilometers from Helsinki city center. It was originally built in 1952 for the Summer Olympics in the city. It served 13,426,901 passengers in the year 2008. Moreover, it is the fourth largest airport in the Nordic countries.
