Helsingin kauppakorkeakoulu or Aalto University School of Economics (former Helsinki School of Economics (HSE)) is the largest and the leading business university in Finland and also a top-level business university in Europe.
Its original incarnation was founded in 1911 and today consist of approximately 3,500 students and 500 researchers. It is both architecturally interesting (understated but quirky) and a great place to slip into a lively and progressive local community.
The school itself enjoys a reputation as an innovative and lively community, conducting high-quality research with close relations with the business community. In 2009 the Financial Times ranked the university’s CEMS program the No. 1 Masters in Management program in the world.
