Toolo is a nice area of Helsinki, the Finnish capital. It cannot be described as the most central, nor the most alive, nor the area most packed with features of interest to the tourist but at the same time it isn’t bad on any of these fronts and it is more than likely that you’ll find yourself heading here sooner or later.
The Helsinki Olympic Stadium is the first main reason for any such visit. It is a majestic piece of functionalist architecture, designed by Yrjö Lindgren, and it dominates the skyline of the area.
Next on any list may well be the City Winter Garden's greenhouses and the surrounding park, which constitute one of the city's best known sights. The winter garden is known especially for its exotic palm trees and cacti, as well as its rockeries.
If cultural venues are higher up on your itinerary then you should head for the Korjaamo Culture Factory, which is a part of a group of independent cultural centers across Europe.
There are not many choices of hotels near Toolo, Helsinki, it lacks mid range and luxury hotels too. Being a mixed income residential district, there are a few budget friendly hotels, Helsinki available for locals and tourists alike. If you're travelling with family looking for a cheap place within walking distance to city centre, you can opt for budget hotels here as the environment is calm and friendly.
