Guard House lies opposite ‘St. Martin’; on the south-western side. It has an ‘oerial window’ through which decisions regarding town council were announced previously. To its left is Gothic Maison Adolph; which can be traced back to the 14th century. Gothic Maison Adolph can be mentioned as the most ancient surviving private house all over Colmar. At present, Guard House is a home of various ancient artifacts pertaining to Colmar.
