The city of Strasbourg is famous for its Marchè de Noel, which is considered as the finest in France. Marchè de Noel is actually the well known Christmas Market that is held in the city every year from 24th November to 24th December.
It is very large and spreads across several blocks of the city. There are around seven locations in the city where these markets are situated. The two largest markets are situated in front of the fifteenth century Cathedrale and the other one in front of the famous Opera House.
The markets offer wonderful array of Christmas tree ornaments, Santa shaped sugar coated gingerbread, bees wax candles, handmade wooden toys, Vin Chaud (Hot Vine), fine chocolates, Jus d'Orange Chaud (Orange Juice) and everything else a visitor may want to celebrate the festival in a better manner.
