Quartier Allemand was built in the period after 1871 when Alsaca was part of the German empire. At present, it is situated at the heart of the town and a central square named for the French state and also as the place de la Republique can be seen with small wooded park. This district is the showcase of German neoclassical architecture situated in Strasbourg.
