Founded in the 6th century BC is the town of Antibes. This little jewel of a town is situated in the French Riviera, on the Côte d’Azur in France.
Being on the Mediterranean, Antibes enjoys the climate of that area as well with mild winters and warm summers and plenty of sunshine. Despite the sunshine, the maximum average temperature is seldom above 27°C.
Since the French Riviera is such a popular tourist destination, summers are bound to be expensive and crowded, so a spring or autumn holiday would be a better idea.
Antibes has a population of around 72,400. The inhabitants are mainly engaged in the activities of tourism, fishing and flower trade.
