Biarritz - Anglet - Bayonne Airport is also known as Parme or Biarritz Airport. It is situated 3 miles to the southeast of Biarritz, near Anglet and Bayonne. The elevation of this public airport is 245 feet. As the name suggests, this airport serves Biarritz, Anglet and Bayonne.
Seventy five percent of this airport is situated in Anglet and other twenty five percent in Biarritz. This airport was built in the 50s for serving a catchment area that covered the south part of the Landes and the entire Pyrenees-Atlantiques department, other than part of the Guipuzcoa province in the Spanish Basque country. Today a number of low cost airlines and national airlines use the airport transporting tourists, athletes and business people to anf from the area.
The airport is run by Syndict Mixte, a special governing board, consisting of Members from the municipal councils of Bayonne, St-Jean-de-Luz, Anglet, Biarritz, other than the Bayonne Chamber of Commerce and industry, the department councils of the Landes and Pyrenees-Atlantiques.
