Musee de la Mer is also known as the Museum of the Sea situated in Biarritz, Aquitaine. The museum art deco style, with blue and golden mosaics Lizier floor is worth seeing alone.
In 1992, the museum was renovated and is next to cliff plateau Atalaye. Housing a large collection of marine animals and birds, the main attraction is an octopus, with white on blue colors. The ground floor aquarium has 24 tanks, home to many underwater marine lives from the Bay of Biscay.
The first floor has commercial fishing and whaling exhibitions, with the third floor having seal feeding time session. This place has 25 aquariums, a Caribbean lagoon, an educational workshop along with multimedia for school groups and consolidation areas for conserving the species. Tourists can make sure to visit the Musee de la Mer or the Museum of the Sea whilst visiting Biarritz o taking a break from surfing!
