This street is completely pedestrianized and around 1 kilometer long. It’s the busiest ‘shopping street’ all over Bordeaux; apart from being an age-old thoroughfare of the town. During the Roman era, it had served as the main south-north road. The name of this atreet has remained the same since eighteenth century, to honor the ‘martyr saint’; chapel of whose lies nearby.
