Tourist Guide Marmande
Marmande commune is situated in Lot-et-Garonne department in the South West of France. Marmande ranks in 481th place population wise in entire France. Presently known as the Tomato Capital, this town is popular for its production of tomatoes; there is also a festival held here dedicated to tomatoes in the month of July, each year. Other than the administrative offices and the cooperative cellars at Beaupuy, Marmande is famous for the church of Notre-Dame, dating back to 13th, 14th and 15th centuries. Interesting feature to see are the windows of the nave, the Renaissance cloister that adjoins the south side and the altarpiece of the 18th century.
