This is a fine art museum which displays a fascinating collection of paintings, sculptures and art objects chronologically arranged from the Middle Ages to the 20th century. It is housed in an award winning building which was erected in 1992. There are rooms devoted to Flemish, Italian and French works and thus showcases the art and culture of the European continent.
