The Musee des Beaux-Arts in Rennes is a creation of the Revolution. It was founded in 1794 and has works of religious and civil buildings. The museum in fact has collections of Christophe-Paul de Robien, the President of the Parliament of Brittany. As the museum is not situated in a suitable building, it presents diverse collections. It is wholly an art museum.
