Beaune can be described as a commune located in France’s eastern area. It’s amongst the sub-prefectures of Bourgogne region’s Cote-d’Or department.
The region surrounding Beaune, i.e. Cote de Beaune has been known for Burgundy wines on its part. As such, Beaune is being looked upon as hub of ‘local wine business’. The commune of Beaune is well-known for its yearly charity wine auction; that too, on the behalf of ‘Hospices de Beaune’.
Beaune lies on ‘route des Grands Crus’ tourist route amongst the vineyards. Road happens to run northwards to Nuits-Saint-Georges and Gevrey Chambertin from Beaune; and also southwards towards Autun, Saisy, and Nolay.
