Reims is situated in a plain on the right bank of the Vesle River, in the north of France, standing 144 km to the northeast of Paris.
Reims is often considered as the capital of Champagne region . World famous for its sparkling wine (Champagne), it is by far the largest city in the region.
As per the 1999 census, there were 187,206 inhabitants in the city.
Temperatures in Reims, as well as across north east France are similar to those in south east England where the region experiences Tropical weather all throughout the year.
Reims is a small but perfectly formed city with little traffic, designer boutiques good restaurants, cafes, bars and pubs. These are the frequently visited places at night that are popular with both locals and tourists.
