The Cathedral of Our Lady of the Assumption Cathedral is also known as Santa Maria Assunta of Ajaccio. Located in Ajaccio, Corsica, the historic building is worth of a visit for is design, architecture and beautiful marble workings.
Inaugurated in 1593, the place relates to the Diocese of Ajaccio and was baptized in 1771. This cathedral is also the subject of classification as historical monuments since 1906. The construction of this monument began in 1577 and got completed in 1593. Having a baroque architectural style, the entire attribution goes to its architect, Giacomo della Porta.
