Diocese d'Ajaccio or the Roman Catholic Diocese d'Ajaccio is a Latin Rite diocese in France. This diocese comprises of the entire Corcisa Island. The historic building was erected in the third century and was formerly the Archdiocese of Pisa suffragan. Prior to the French Revolution, Corsica comprised of five other dioceses, like the Diocese of Accia, the Diocese of Algeria, the Diocese of Sagone, the Diocese of Mariana and the Diocese of Nebbio. The Diocese of Ajaccio at the end of 1905, 295,589 inhabitants, 351 second class parishes, 70 first class parishes and 91 vicariates, once with the State subventions.
