The Musee Fesch or the Fesch Museum of Fine Arts is situated in Ajaccio city in Corsica. Precisely situated in the Borgu of Ajaccio, in the Palace, the museum was created by Cardinal Joseph Fesch, uncle of Napoleon to his hometown. This museum includes one of the finest collections of Old Master paintings from France.
Moreover, it is one of the largest collections of Napoleonic artefacts. All of Fesch’s personal collections are seen here. One can see 17,626 artifacts, which includes 16000 paintings, along with 1000 paintings and objects. This museum even has display of works of different schools of European paintings until the 18th century.
