Ajaccio is the birthplace of Napoleon and the capital of the Corsica Island. It is filled with cafes and palm line boulevards, frequently visited by tourists in summer season when they can enjoy on the sandy beaches, feeling free to choose among a dozen or more restaurants, cafes and bars.
The nightlife is one of the most important aspects here. Though the city does not have a loud or a happening nightlife, there are old fashioned salons and cafes that a tourist can find interesting.
Ajaccio is home to numerous cafes, bars, pubs and discotheques. There are old fashioned cafes and salons de thé, that offers a visitor with a quiet atmosphere experienced in Place de Gaulle. If a tourist wants to have a beautiful view of the bay, he can sit at one of the cocktail bars located on Boulevard Lantivy, home to many cinemas and glamorous clubs.
Other famous cafes include Le Grand Café Napoleon, which is known to be the oldest café in town with a décor that is exceptionally inspired by the Second Empire period, having crowds in their thirties. La Rade offers its guests to relax, eat, drink and even watch the crowded Port de Plaisance. La Menestrel is another must visit place other than Safari, similar to cocktail bars.
Ajaccio Nightlife is one thing which one shouldn’t miss whilst in Ajaccio. The staff working in the restaurants, bars and cafes provides endless services for the guests and are open till late at night. Because of this, the visitors remain impressed by the hospitality, food, service, party atmosphere and friendship once they enter any of the venues.
With this relaxing and fun attitude to nightlife, it is unsurprising that Ajaccio is so appealing to tourists.
