When to visit
Corsica is the perfect holiday destination, stretching out in the Mediterranean sunshine, situated off the south of France. Home to magnificent scenic mountains, villages, surrounding landscapes and fine towns, Corsica is a person’s dream place for snorkeling, swimming, scuba diving, sunbathing and wind surfing. The best time of the year to visit Corsica is during the intermediate season, May to June and September to October. In summer, one can take advantage of the beautiful beaches, autumn is a good time for chestnut celebration and winters are the good time to enjoy along with the Corsican villages. Spring brings with it blooming flowers, a mass of vibrant color, bright yellow broom and deep red wild poppies and the scrubland is the best place for hiking. This time the rivers are full, a perfect time to sightsee, try some sport activities and take part in the special holidays. In June, one can visit the region to smell the maquis scent filling the air, watch the sun set over the water, to walk and explore the sights. The month of July and August is the time experiencing the maximum sunlight, with plenty of chances to do water sports activities. September and October, Corsica is warm with mellow sunlight, hills with blooming cyclamen, lush green to yellow flowers are seen towards the end of September and this is a great time to see this flora and fauna.
