Dijon is blessed with a large number of cathedrals and churches, including the crypt of Dijon Cathedral, St. Bénigne, St. Michel, Notre-Dame and St. Etienne.
There is an eye catching view of Dijon’s Saint Benigne church where there are half timbered houses typical of Burgundy and pictures that merit being seen on display in the historical centres here.
There are a number of museums in Dijon. Musee des Beaux is one of these which displays a collection of European paintings from the early Renaissance period and has a ducal kitchen dating from 1400.
One of the more interesting sights of Dijon, that must be seen is the Ducal Palace or the Palais des Ducs ET des Etats de Bourgogne or "Palace of the Dukes and the States of Burgundy”.
Another important monument of Dijon is a curious carving of a little owl, la chouette. This is considered to be a good-luck charm for many people who come here to make a wish, touching the owl with their left hand.
