France is almost always bustling with activity. Tour De France, the international cycling event is one of the key sporting events of France. The Cannes Film Festival held in Cannes is one of the most illustrious international film festivals. The Nice Carnival is one of the biggest carnivals of Europe. Held in French Riviera City, it provides an excellent opportunity to indulge in food, music and festivities. Beaujolais Nouveau’s Release marks the arrival of the wine every year at midnight, held on the third Thursday of November. There are about 120 festivals celebrated at the launch, not just in Beaujolais but throughout France.
The ultimate French holiday is Bastille Day, held on 14 July, to commemorate the storming of the Bastille. Wherever in France, food, drinks and festivities are guaranteed on this day.
