Overall rating: 9

Île-de-France can be described as one amongst 26 administrative regions pertaining to France; which is mainly composed of Paris Metropolitan Area.
The name 'Île-de-France' means 'Island of France'. It has been derived from old Frankish Liddle Franke, 'Little France'. Population as per 2008 estimates is 11694000.
Climate at Île-de-France is cool. Summer season would prove to be the best period to pay a visit.

Paris is the most visited city in the world. It is vibrant. There so much to see and to shop. The Moulin Rouge was an experience and the art was amazing. The shopping experience is unique in Paris. There is such a variety. The cab drivers are very helpful. The coffee shops on the streets are so many and it is an experience to sit and eat and stare at the people walking by. You do not have to chat with those sitting with you. They are just as fascinated to watch all the peolple walking by. One day we bought a french loaf of bread and cheese and sat on the pavement with a small bottle of wine. It was so enjoyabale. It is a city that all travellers should experience.
