Paris has underground rail network, which is known as the finest rail network in the city. The trains are run on the principal lines of the Metro subway system which got opened in 1900. This line service is frequent and fast. Over decades or more, these lines have been extended into the suburbs. The hub of the system named Chatelet-Les-Halles is known as the world’s largest and busiest underground station.
