Hotel des Invalides is a huge domed structure which was constructed in the late 17th century. It was designed by Louis XIV for providing shelter to the old and wounded soldiers. This historic building was founded in 1675 on request by Louis XVI. This building is the first ever French hospital cum home which was exclusively built for the soldiers. There is also a garden, a large courtyard and an impressive esplanade.
