Quai Branly Museum or Musée du quai Branly is located in Paris. This museum holds a huge collection of artifacts that exhibit the indigenous civilization, cultures and art from America, Oceania, Asia and Africa.
The museum is at 37, quai Branly - portail Debilly, 75007 Paris. The Eiffel Tower is near this museum. This museum was opened in June 2006. The museum exhibits nearly 3,500 items out of the 267,000 objects from the permanent collection.
Headdresses brought from Alaska, Indian chest ornaments, Mexican sculptors and Nigerian statues are some of the major attractions in this museum.
The Djnnenke statue from Mali is one of the precious pieces. Some permanent exhibitions are arranged in the other half of the museum. The remaining space is occupied with temporary exhibits.
This museum-cum-cultural center remains open from 10 am to 6.30 pm daily except Mondays. On Thursdays, it remains open till 9.30 pm.
