Any traveler to Paris, no matter how wealthy or sophisticated, is sure to enjoy an authentic and fun cultural experience. Let's start skipping 4 star lunch reservations for a while and let's focus on the delicacies French Cuisine has to offer, which indeed are of a haute level in the picnic form too!

The French take their bread seriously, indeed there's no other place in the World where you'll find a delicious golden baguette, crunchy on the outside and chewy on the inside, coming from one of many Boulangeries (bakeries) accompanied by a wide variety of cheeses: a National favourite. La Fromagerie is an essential of Parisian Cuisine, regularly served, and there are over 400 varieties of cheeses to choose from, ranging from double-cream, very popular is the Boursin cheese, to spreadable cheese with delicate herbs, then soft cheeses favs, World famous Brie and Camembert. Chevre is also a typical delicacy goat's cheese of a particular taste.

The menus are stocked with delicious ingredients, as for fruit and veg the region is so rich with delights as, for instance, Argenteuil asparagus or Montmorency cherries, the Groslay pear. And also magnificent beef and veal dishes in recipies such as Navarin of Lamb, Beef Mironton...you'll have the chance to taste succulent condiments as spicy Meaux mustard.

You may well end a meal with the famous dessert Paris-Brest or a Lemon tartelette to be savored with a glass of Grand Marnier; Parisian dishes are also the fricassee of rabbit or the lovely French onion soup.

To fulfill a sweet tooth, there's no better way to try the Patisserie or Chocolaterie, a chocolate heaven offering you mille-feullies (Napoleons), eclairs, palmiers (puffed pastry biscuit), tartes aux fruits (small fruit pies) and Madeleines (shell-shaped cakes).

Desserts and sweets fit for a King's taste so don't miss the Saint Honoré or Nanterre brioche, the Bourdaloque tart and the delicious Parisian Flan. Just can't have enough!
