The Bois de Vincennes Park is an amazing park situated in Paris, Ile de France. It offers endless space for a person to stroll, unwind, boat and to picnic spending quality time with his family or friends. Though the wood is situated to the border of the city, a day in Bois de Vincennes Park is enough for a person to count as a day trip from Paris. There is also a 14th century fortified chateau, the Chateau de Vincennes which is worth of a visit here.
Bois de Vincennes Park is an immense stretch of greenery to the east of Paris and named after the nearby town of Vincennes. Similar to the Bois de Boulogne, Bois de Vincennes Park has been included to Paris in the 19th century, surrounded by populated areas. Spread in an area of 9.947 square kilometers, it is three times larger than the Central Park in New York. The park has four lakes fed from the Marne River. Moreover, the park is home to many sports venues and has a zoo of its own.
