Les Halles is a neighborhood in Paris in the 1er arrondissement to the south side of the Montorgueil. The place is named as its home to the large central wholesale market place, that was demolished in 1971 and was replaced with an underground modern shopping place, the Forum des Hallas. This place is famous open air center area now below the street level and has sculptures, mosaics and fountains along with worth visiting museums too. One such interesting museum is the Musee Grevin – Forum des Halles (a wax museum). Those who are shopaholic can find this place attractive as there are many specialty shops here.
