Place de la Concorde
Place de la Concorde is an impressive square situated at the heart of Paris. The square has witnesses a huge amount of history.
It was created by Louix XV. Completed in 1763, the square eventually became a host to the guillotine that executed Louis XVI, Danton, Marie-Antoinette and Robespierre.
It now features a number of statues and fountains. It is also home to the Obelisk of Luxor, which is a gift from Egypt, stretching 23 meters into the sky.
