Place Vendome is known as the most famous square in the history of France and was created in 1685 and designed by Jules-Hardouin Mansart. The arcades of the front mansions surround the square in the heart of the capital. This square has some of the prestigious banks and such offices. The square at first had an equestrian statue of Napoleon as King Caesar.
