The Jardin des Plantes is 4.5 hectares of historic botanical garden and is maintained by the Universite Montpellier 1. This garden has more exotic plants and a good place to find shade with peaceful environment. This beautiful garden was created in 1593 and has many indigenous plant species too with trees dating back to the garden foundation.
