Nancy can be described as a city located in Meurthe-et-Moselle department within France’s north-eastern part. This city is, in reality, capital of this department.
Neighboring communes with respect to Nancy include Laxou, Villers-les-Nancy, Vandoeuvre-les-Nancy, Tomblaine, Saint-Max, Maxeville, Malzeville, and Jarville-la-Malgrange.
Public transport all over Nancy has been made available by ‘Service des Transports de I’Agglomeration Nanceienne (STAN). It’s, in fact, one of the operators in ‘Veolia Transportation Group’. T1 is the route most heavily utilized. It’s better known as ‘tramway on tyres’. It’s a ‘guided busway’ which has been based on GLT, i.e. Guided Light Transit technology.
Nancy happens to be seat of ‘Diocese of Nancy’; along with being home of ‘Opera national de Lorraine’.
The city of Nancy was liberated from ‘Nazi Germany’ in September in the year 1944 by US Third Army.
