Toulouse in the south-west of France is home to about 430,000 inhabitants. Toulouse was a thriving trade centre during the Roman reign but it slowly turned into a sleepy little village. It had practically no industrial development till the beginning of the twentieth century.
Toulouse experiences a pleasant and sunny climate throughout the year. Summers are very warm and long; the average temperature in June is 24°C, but at the peak of summer it can even rise to 30°C. Spring, from March to May, is the best time to visit. Winters are mild with occasional snowfall.
Important military and aerospace industries were shifted here, and today, it is a dynamic city with aeronautics and space technology forming the base of its economic activity.
