The Foundation Bemberg was open to the public in 1995 and it almost attracted 100,000 visitors during the first year of its establishment. This makes it one of the most visited provincial museums in France. The Foundation is also described as the best collection of a prestigious collection and it is a magnificent building. This museum was initially designed in 1555 for the rich pastel merchant, Pierre Assezat.
