This museum goes on to conserve collection of paintings and sculpture from Middle Ages till early 20th century. These paintings are ‘metropolitan’, as far as scope is concerned. The sculptures represent Occitan culture with rich assemblage on the part of Romanesque sculpture. Most of the collections have been obtained from confiscation of the property of Church during French Revolution.
