Tourist Guide La Baule
La Baule can be described as one of the communes located in north-western France’s Atlantique department. It can boast of the lengthiest sand beach all over Europe; which happens to be 12 Km in length.
In the year 1779, a ‘violent’ storm went on to bury this hamlet under sand. This place got reconstructed further ‘inland’. During that time, extremely unstable dunes got occupied by ‘customs officers’; who went on to give them name of ‘Bole’, i.e. a term which indicates a simply flooded ‘maritime meadow’.
The climate of La Baule is quite pleasant. Hence, summer season would prove to be the best period to pay a visit.
Various racing events have been witnessed by La Maule in the last few years. Prominent amongst them was ‘Grand Prix motor racing’ event.
