Ferry is a popular way of transportation in the city of Marseille. The city is home to a large ferry terminal known as the Gare Maritime. A free ferry service linked the two opposite quays of city’s Old Port.
Marseille has a huge harbor and there are directly linked ferry routes to Ajaccio, Porto Torres, Bastia, Propriano and Porto Vecchio. The harbor has several piers so it is suggested to check in in advance to avoid inconvenience.
