The Stade Velodrome is a stadium having 60,013 seating capacity situated in Marseille, France. Home of the Olympique de Marseille football club of Ligue 1, this is also a venue of the FIFA World Cup held in 1998. The stadium is also known as the largest club football ground in France and is regularly used by the French rugby union team. Built in 1937, it was renovated twice, in 1984 and in 1998. The architect of this amazing stadium was Henri Ploquin. This Velodrome is believed to increase its capacity to 2014 when France will host the UEFA Euro 2016.
