The famous Port of Nice is also referred to as Lympia port. It is the main harbor installation of the city of Nice. It is also the first port in the country to be manufactured with cement.
The city of Nice is the point of continental France closest to Corsica. The connections are provided by two companies namely SNCM, which is a partially public firm, and Corsica Ferries - Sardinia Ferries, which is a private company.
It is an important port for cruise ships sailing on the Mediterranean Sea. The port has the capacity of accommodating ships up to one hundred and eighty meters long.
