The French Riviera is, no doubt, one of the most attractive and notorious coasts all over Europe and the nice Nice its own jet set!
Though summer is a nice period to enjoy a sojourn, it is better not to go to Nice in July or August to avoid hot weather, traffic jams and crowds of people on holiday! Better periods are spring and early autumn, though february is a favorite too: it is carnival time!
The many museums, beaches and facilities offer tourists a wide range of choices!
The old town with its many tiny streets, is truly lively and many are the restaurants all around where to enjoy a good meal!
The true local atmosphere is in Vieille Ville, the Old Town, at the foot of "the Rock" and which spreads out from Place Massena.
The front of the buildings seem to be, somehow, italian architectural evidences
of 17th century.
