The name Promenade des Anglais was given to this long pathway after an Englishman, Lewis Way, decided he would create a path along the seafront.
The walkway runs for about two kilometres and is always teaming with tourists and locals.
The area is a popular attraction in Nice with walkers and cyclists as it offers an unobstructed view of the sea.
The blue chairs dotted along the promenade give it a characteristic look of a vantage position and the cerulean blue extends as far as the eye can see. It is an exhilarating sight like the other beaches in Nice.
One can bask in the sun, walk, run or cycle with a calm breeze blowing in from the sea and an air of serenity covers the whole scene.
