When to visit
Many know Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur as the Cote d’Azur or as the French Riviera, a place of celebrities, popular for its beaches, boutiques and luxury hotels. This mesmerizing land of markets, medieval hilltop villages, beaches and mountains is an excellent place for lots of outdoor sport activities like mountain biking, cycling, skiing, walking, canoeing, fishing, horse riding, rafting and rock climbing. Its location and weather other than its historical past of amazing architectural and archaeological interest, along with an array of festivals make it an exciting place to visit. Summer season is an excellent time for paragliding, hang gliding and for a fantastic aerial view, both to watch and participate in. This region experiences mild climate, making it a year round tourist attraction. The region being high on the list of must visit places for its numerous sights are flooded with tourists in the month of July and August. From April to May and till the end of September, climate is good. Off season months, mid September to Easter have fewer crowds, a perfect time to visit for those who want a calmer environment.
