The Aiguille Du Midi is a 3,842 meter mountain situated in the Mont Blanc massif. This summit has a very magnificent panoramic view platform and the name translates to “needle of midday”. It is called by this name because the sun directly sits over the peak at noon, when one views from the city of Chamonix. There is also a gift shop and a café at the summit. One can reach the summit through cable cars. When the travelers reach the peak, for them it is a ride as the 80 person car glides and shimmies along a thick wire from the peak to the alpine peak.
