The Vallee Blanche is directly above the city of Chamonix and to climb this valley, one requires courage and also a heavy dose of insanity. This is an unmarked, ungroomed and unpatrolled trail which is 20 kilometers and runs down the glacier to the city. The best way to explore this valley is to ski the area along with a professional guide who knows the area quite well. Moreover, this is an exclusively an off-piste, high mountain journey. Further, this glacier leads the travelers towards Italy.
